Understanding how Black communities view dementia is pivotal to service provision. There appears to be a disproportionately high rate of dementia within the black community. A recent study reveals that the concept of dementia is not something all black communities even recognize or respond to, preferring instead to view 'mind slipping' as a normal and inevitable process.
