Driving with Alzheimer's

Wednesday November 29, 2006
In the early stages of Alzheimer's many people still drive. Sometimes this is because they have not had their symptoms diagnosed , sometimes because their caregivers believe it is safe for them to do so. In some States it is illegal, in others it is the caregiver that has to make the decision to stop them from driving. You have to consider the safety of your loved one and the safety of others.

How safe is it to drive when someone has Alzheimer's disease? Where can you get help? How can you help someone with Alzheimer's disease quit driving?
