Can an Apple a Day Keep Alzheimer's Away?
If you think you need to eat exotic or hard-to-find foods to reduce your risk of Alzheimer's, think again. A study at Cornell University recently found that eating apples, oranges, and bananas may reduce one's risk of Alzheimer's disease.Apparently, these three common fruits contain high amounts of antioxidants that protect brain cells from oxidative stress associated with Alzheimer's and other neurodegenerative diseases. Apples contain the most antioxidants, followed by bananas, then oranges.
