New Web Resource for Those Who Care for People With Medicare

Monday September 15, 2008
Photo © MicrosoftThe Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will launch a new web resource on September 18, 2008 designed specifically for caregivers of those with Medicare.

Ask Medicare will help caregivers navigate the often confusing Medicare program and help relatives get the benefits they deserve. The resource will also offer a bi-monthly e-newsletter providing CMS updates and useful tips for understanding and accessing benefits.

This is great news, considering that financial and legal issues are stressful and sometimes intimidating aspects of the caregiving process. I encourage all caregivers to check out Ask Medicare to make sure your relative with Alzheimer's disease or another dementia is receiving the proper benefits.
