Saturday October 4, 2008
Photo © MicrosoftI'm notifying you about this teleclass well in advance because I think it might fill up quickly. The National Family Caregivers Association is offering a FREE teleclass for family caregivers that will focus on Communicating Effectively With Healthcare Professionals.

The 2-part teleclass will take place on November 6 and November 13 at 2 PM Eastern -- each segment will last approximately one hour. Participants will listen over the telephone; you can also follow along on the teleclass website while you're on the phone, but this is not required.

The teleclass will cover important issues like how the U.S. healthcare system operates, how good communication encourages optimum health care, collaboration strategies to use with your relative's healthcare providers, and how to handle an emergency room visit. In today's complicated and struggling healthcare system, these are important skills for caregivers to have as they care for those with Alzheimer's disease and other chronic conditions.

To learn more and to register, visit the teleclass website here.
