Q. What Age Group does Alzheimers Disease Affect?

A. Alzheimer’s disease is mostly seen in older people but very occasionally it develops in middle age, occasionally in the 30’s (about 10% of all Alzheimer’s cases). People over the age of 65 are most frequently affected. The incidence of Alzheimer’s disease increases with age and by the age of 85 years nearly half of all people are affected by the disease.
