A study at Saint Louis University School of Medicine in Missouri indicated that just 30 minutes of exercise (15 minutes of aerobic activity and 15 minutes of weight training) 3 times a week can reduce agitation in those with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia.

It's common to think that people beyond early-stage Alzheimer's disease cannot engage in exercise, but the researchers suggest that it just takes a little more patience to help them follow the exercise instructions, and that doing so is clearly worth it.
