Definition: Actions such as physical movement, verbalizations, gestures, attitudinal stances, and reactions to situations. Behavioral processes are distinguished from emotional processes (feelings) and cognitive processes (thinking).
Also Known As: action, reaction, demeanor, response
Examples: Behavioral symptoms of Alzheimer's include -- but are not limited to -- agitation, aggression, restlessness, repetition, and wandering.

Behavioral disorders refer to medical conditions that compromise behavioral functioning.

Behavior management refers to addressing the symptoms of Alzheimer's by analyzing challenging behaviors and changing the triggers and consequences of those behaviors.
