When to Stop Drving If You Have Alzheimer's

You have been told you are suffering from Alzheimer's disease or dementia. How do you know when you should quit driving? There are a number of indications that you should quit if you meet any of the following criteria.

Do not drive if;

  • You've recently had an accident

  • You've become lost when you are driving

  • You have a recent traffic violation

  • If your family and friends tell you your driving is no longer safe

  • If you are told by your medical team or law-enforcement officers not to drive
