A Moving Story of Alzheimer's Disease

Please note that this is a personal story submitted by an About.com reader.

Its been 9 years now , you wonder when its all going to end , the pain of being on a never ending emotional rollercoaster.

My Mum , my beautiful Mum started with Alzheimer when she was only 49 years old. Looking back it was properly before that.

We have just had to put her into a home something I said we would never do. It has just got too much now and I do have a family of my own. Dad's heart is broken , but we have had to move on. I know she is happy in her own little world, I can tell. I just ask God to please end it. I want her to go. I do not want us to remember her how she is now. I want us to remember her how she was before. I need to grieve.

Maybe God will find a cure ?
