Lewy body dementia, Alzheimer's, frontotemporal dementia, Huntington's disease... these are all types of dementia, but do you know the differences?
Although these diseases share several of the characteristics of dementia, there are also some key differences between them. I recently chose to write about some of the differences between Lewy body dementia and Alzheimer's disease. On a personal level, I have a friend who lost her dad to LBD. And, on a professional level, I have often heard the hesitancy in other people's voices when they explain that their loved one has LBD, and have observed their relief when they find out that I'm familiar with LBD.
If you're interested in learning more, here's a summary of some of the symptoms of each:

Hi Esther,
I love your articles and always find them very informative.
I thought I would just leave you a link to a radio show I did on Lewy Body.
My Guests on the show were Mary McGrath who spoke about her journey with her husbands Lewy Body, and Angela Taylor with the Lewy Body Dementia Association. They were very informative. the show was about 1 1/2hours, but I thought your reading might be interested in listening to the show.
