Definition: False belief firmly held by a person even though others recognize the belief to be clearly untrue.

Delusions can occur among those with Alzheimer's disease and other kinds of dementia.

Examples: Common delusions among people with Alzheimer's or other kinds of dementia include the belief that one's spouse or partner is unfaithful, the belief that one's money or possessions have been stolen, or the belief that one is being watched.
